Poor
Calypso were fated not to dive Cannibal Rock. Overnight the wind had
increased in strength and this morning we had 25 knots blowing up our
chuff and across the dive site making conditions less than happy.
Plan B was to move north on the ebbing tide to an anchorage on Komodo
island where we'd read there was also a possibility for a dive.
For
once we had our timing for the current right and it was with us all
the way into Punya Lawa, a sweet spot between the small Punya Lawa
island and the larger Komodo island. The colour of the water over
the shallow reef was perfect turquoise with the dark patches of coral
showing up clearly.
