Tomia,
the to in Wakatobi. The name Wakatobi is an acronym of the
names of the four main islands which make up this area; Wangi Wangi,
Kaledupa, Tomia and Binongko.
As
we approached the island we sent a text message to the boat manager
at the resort and, as promised, Vince came out to meet us in his
speed boat and showed us where we could raft up on the mooring ball
next to a fishing boat.

Later
in the afternoon we went in to the resort to enquire about diving
around the island. Alas the Swiss owner claimed he'd leased all
rights to sites and while we could dive with the resort it would cost
$200 for a day with 3 dives. Too costly for our purse so we said
thanks but no thanks, enjoyed a tour and a cup of coffee, admired the
restaurant and facilities before returning to our humble home.
