20 April Wind shift, boat shift

For the last couple of days the wind has shifted from east to south south east and a beam on swell has come into the anchorage. It's uncomfortable, not unlivable, despite dinner of spaghetti meatballs sliding off the plates onto the table last night.

A fishing boat with broken engine which has been on a yacht mooring closer in to the town and shore, and with more swell protection, was towed a marina in the North Sound this morning giving us the opportunity to move. We called port security for permission to move and were over heard by the harbour pilot. He gave us a shout to advise of a couple of shallow patched between our current ball and the new ball. Good advice. I took us around the reef and came approached from the south west. Dividing jobs by playing to our respective strengths when it comes to picking up a mooring I helm and David picks up the line.

In our new spot we are less affected by swell, but the bonus which all yachties love is we are now in range of free WiFi. It's a win win situation and hopefully we won't have dinner sliding off the plates tonight.
