Today David turns 65 and we have managed to keep the celebrations going for two days. It's been such a hardship. Not.
Last night we went to Paradise Beach Club for dinner and wine tasting. A wine importer advertised he was bringing half a dozen wines for people to try. We expected a small sip of each and then dinner to be served after. Instead we were treated to a generous half glass, or more, as the evening progressed matching wines to food. It was a lovely surprise and a wonderful evening sipping wine, eating good food and looking out across the bay to Sandy island.
Today we continued with the treats for Birthday Boy. I'm not much of a baker, but once a year I make carrot cake muffins, that is today. A steak dinner on board and the last bottle of champagne bought in Annapolis and squirreled away in the bilge for our special events.
Next year David can celebrate reaching UK pension age since the Government recently raised it to 66 from 65.
Happy Birthday, my darling.
