We're going to be in a marina for three months! We've never stayed anywhere for so long and I'm quite looking forward to it. There'll be electricity to switch on a kettle whenever we want a cup of tea or the AC. I can walk to the shops without having to put the dinghy in the water. I can go for a swim in the pool everyday. Polly has a garden to explore. David has the security of being tied to a dock while he does engine maintenance. There'll be no rolling at anchor and, should there be a storm this is a well protected spot. The marina is in a lagoon which is a flooded caldera with a small entrance in from the sea. I see happy times ahead.
Within a few days of arriving the welders had repaired a broken stanchion. I'd ordered new glasses from the optician and discovered online shopping with delivery to the door from the big supermarket.
