Are we nearly there yet?: 31 January Escape to the Isles

For the last ten days we've beeb able to escape the marina to spend quality time in the Saint (those little islands which we love 20nms south of Guadeloupe). The portable generator has been doing a great job but it's still a pfaff to pull it out of the rear lazarette to run each afternoon, hoping we don't have a rain shower while it's on deck.

First we were on a mooring ball close to the main town and then we moved to Ils Cabrits which is a little further out, to clean the hull. The water's cleaner. It's quieter and no ferry wake. We did a short dive on the north point and walked all the trails on the (small) island.

From tomorrow we're booked into the marina once more. This time it' going to be a month which is about the time it's going to take for a new main generator to be shipped to St Martin where we can have it fitted.
