Jackster is back in her usual berth for the summer. Port Louis Marina in Grenada has been our base for the last two hurricane seasons. It suited us so well we're back for a third season.
In two weeks' time I'll be heading home to England to see my Mum who's going to be 90 in July; I couldn't be away for her big birthday could I? I'm hoping to travel around to see as many of my friends as possible and, of course, there'll be boats bits to bring back.
While I'm away David has a list of over 40 jobs that either need to be done or are improvements on the current system plus the regular maintenance. We've done the ones that needed two people such as a trip up the main mast to check the main mandrill and to unhook a halyard that had got caught. There was a tweek on the steering to be done; David at the rudder making adjustments as I turned the wheel. It's a boat and there's always a job to be done, but for me for now I'm looking forward to a bit of a holiday.
