The time has gone so fast! I'm flying home this evening. We came into the marina in Grenada ten days ago and since then it's been a mad dash of organising, making sure David and Polly are set up on board for the few weeks I'm home and for me, doing the few last bits and pieces.
Two days ago a very early season tropical storm passed 150nm to the north of us. Martinique and St Lucia suffered the highest winds and rainfall while we had more rain, but no strong winds. Which is why we are in a marina for hurricane season.
Polly is not as happy as she might be. First the marina has building work ongoing in the area where the three marina wild cats used to hang out. They've relocated to Polly's garden and naturally she's staying away from the local gang. Then yesterday we were woken with sounds of a cat fight in the cockpit. A female Bengal cat from another visiting boat had wandered not only onto our dock but into our boat where she came face to face with Polly. Polly may only be half her size but she showed the interloper the door in no uncertain terms. She's feisty! Princess the Bengal hasn't been back!
I'll be leaving them in David's capable hands...
