8 October Day 7

It may be Sunday, but it's not a rest day when you can do more and be back in the water quicker. Our help is taking a deserved day off.

Both David and I are dressed in our HazChem suits and sanding. You try to work on the shady side of the hull but the sweat is dripping down my back, down my arms. To keep motivated I think of this great work out, that it will be worth it and that this is only once every two and a half years.

At midday we pack up, dash back to the apartment for showers and clean and are at the Brewery (less than 5 minutes drive over a rally track road) within 30 minutes in time for the start of the Grand Prix. The race lasts a couple of hours so there's still three hours of daylight to continue working and with a break I fell refreshed.

Not so full of energy to cook this evening so we order a take away from the curry house.
