Another day and another island. This time it was 5 miles on to Crasqui and its mile of white sand beach. There were already a couple of boats there so we stayed on the north end where the beach was empty. Or it was for 5 minutes until the water taxi dropped off a group of 6, their sun umbrellas, cooler boxes and a powerful sound system to play their music. From isolation to intoleration in the shake of a pelicans tail.
To escape we went for a walk along the long beach with Jackie and Gary. They took their dinghy and we opted for 'action wo/man' method and swam to the beach holding a water tight box with our sunglasses and sun hats dry inside. I'd like to say we swam back after our stroll but instead accepted the offer of a lift from Jackie and Gary.
The ghetto blaster was whisked away before the sunset leaving us to enjoy a quiet gin & tonic watching the clouds change from white to orange to pink as the sun sank below the horizon.
