Our friends on Inspiration Lady and Going South are going ahead Curacao this morning and we' re staying for more diving. Our English friends, Helen and Steve have a catamaran which is within the size limit for the park diving buoys and asked if we wanted to go with them and dive from their boat today. The maximum length of boat permitted to tie up to the dive buoys is 15m and we are 16m. Early morning we loaded our 4 tanks and kit into our dinghy and transferred it to Dignity, then let go the mooring and motored two miles out to the island of Klein Bonaire. All the diving here is national park, Klein (small) Bonaire has the added advantage of being uninhabited and prettier sites.
It was a beautiful morning and the sea looked very inviting. Quick kit up and in. Great. Clear water, so clear you can see down reef wall to the sand at 35m, and warm without any current which is perfect for bimble diving, or in other, its very easy. We did an hour of leisurely exploring and taking photos and came to the boat for lunch and to have a safe surface interval before going in for a second dive. Feels good to be back in the water.
