An easy sail / motor / sail / motor to Tahiti from the Tuamotus. On the way we caught a 4' Mahi Mahi. He was a a such a fighter we had to loose speed to be able to pull him aboard. David did the filleting with lots of help from Polly who loves raw fish. This size of fish gives us 6 generous meals for 2 and several bags of offcuts for kitty meals.
We entered the harbour just after 9, went past the town quay and motored around to the anchorage at Maeve beach close to Bristol Rose. This is a much prettier place than on the town quay in front of the main drag which is not the prettiest town, although we found it safe and the people very welcoming. It's a working port with all the negatives and the pluses of services we need, ie fuel, chandlers and big supermarkets. Colon in Panama is 50 times worse for dirt, ugliness lawlessness.
