During
the day we did boat jobs like glueing the seams on the dinghy, again.
In the two years we've had the dinghy we've never had to blow up the
tubes due to loss of air but we have re-glued the seams attaching PVC
to aluminium hull and handles many times. Today we had another
remedial session.
In
the evening we were invited to Paul and Paula Evans' house in the
northern suburb of Artarmon for dinner. It's nine years since they
left London and I hadn't met their two younger sons. Paul treated us
royally opening a bottle of champagne and spoiling us with a grand
dinner and possibly the best (homemade) lemon cheesecake in the
world. David was still raving as we travelled home.
