The
day started with a dawn run down the river under motor and then
continuing out into the bay still under motor as there wasn't enough
wind to sail. Coming along with us today are Rutea and Geramar.
With our fuel starvation issue it was a case of when, not if it
stopped and sure enough after 5 hours the engine conked. First thing
is to get the sails out. By fluke this coincided with the wind
building to a decent strength to allow us to sail. While we sailed
through the day David was back in the engine room trying to find the
fault. This time with the use of clear plastic hose he was able to
discover air was getting into the system which leads to fuel
starvation. The solution of finding where it's getting in is easier
to write than to find. Our challenge continues.....
