20 February Ready, steady, stop

dawn over Linton Bay

Last night the forecast looked good for our 215 mile passage to San Andres today. The alarm went off at 5.30am giving us time to make tea and have one last check on the weather forecast only to find it's changed dramatically in the last twelve hours. Suddenly there's no wind today and we would probably have to motor. However, if we take the advice of our crew members Patience and Prudence and wait one day we will have easterly trade winds and flatter seas.
That is what we did. Spent the day relaxing, had wahoo for dinner and an early night ready for our early start tomorrow.
