A leisurely scooter ride up the north east coast of Grenada filled in the last part of the island for us to explore.
On the east coast is the old town of Grenville, less visited by tourists, lively and colourful.
A little north of Grenville on a narrow bridge is the only working traffic light on the whole of Grenada.

The coast road takes you past Lake Antoine, a flooded volcanic crater close to the still closed-for-Covid River Antoine rum distillery. However, it was a weekend and on a cheeky ride up the drive to see the distillery we saw no-one and I was able to take a couple of photos.
At the
very north east tip of land is Levera National Park where in season
Leatherback turtles come to lay their eggs.
We had a disappointing lunch at Petite Anse hotel near Sauteurs, disappointing because we had to wait over an hour to be served a poor meal. It was an anomaly to the usual good food and quick service we've found in other places.
The ride
south along the west coast road is a wonderful in the afternoon sun
and passing through the fishing villages which line route. When you
are nearly back in St Georges there is a diversion posted to avoid a
landslide. No diversion necessary on a bike and some fine views of a
house slipping down to the sea.
down to the sea we go..
